Is summer really over?

I am not sure when summer starts or when is it over.
This year, the distinction between on and off has been somewhat more blurry as I did not take time to decide - I am not writing. For writing has been constantly on my mind. I am thinking about my book project. I am thinking about my writing monsters. The reviews I need to be doing are nagging me. I have had some breaks where I have not checked my e-mail nor have I opened my computer for several weeks. But in my mind, I have not switched off as full as I needed to.

So, even if you preach the idea that you need to have time not to write, you also will need to take that time not to write. And not to ponder about writing. Or maybe we can't completely switch ourselves off and that is ok too?

I am ruminating, but as August is here and for me, the summer is over, the time not to write is slowly transitioning towards time to plan my writing. I need to get my act together, review my pipeline, update my calendar and make sure I know for sure, when writing starts again.
